The US Navy needed a propulsion system for the Patrol Boat Riverine (PBR) back in the 1960’s and the Jacuzzi 14YJ was selected above all others.

Today there are hundreds of PBRs that are reliably serving nations throughout the world

The 14YJ has been redesigned into the N300 series to perform with higher powered diesels up to 350 hp. One of the most unique design features of the 14YJ and N300 is a shim able impeller clearance without removal of impeller or replacement of the wear ring.

Another unique feature is the emergency pump out kit, that converts the jet drive from a propulsion system to a emergency bilge pump system.
